Dear OpenBand Customer,

Please be advised that OpenBand will perform routine video system testing, as required by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), on the mornings of Thursday, July 29 and Friday, July 30. Testing will occur between 1:00 AM and 6:00 AM each day.

While tests are performed, customers will experience brief programming interruptions on individual channels lasting up to approximately five (5) minutes each. Channels impacted by this scheduled testing include:

4 WRC TV (NBC)
17 Outdoor Channel
24 SPEED
30 A&E
36 Fox News
44 Sci-Fi

Dear OpenBand Customer,

Please be advised that OpenBand will perform Scheduled Maintenance on video systems this Wednesday, July 28, 2010 between 2:00 am and 4:00 am.

During this maintenance window, specific channels will experience multiple service interruptions lasting 5 to 10 minutes each. The impacted channels include: 4, 5, 7, 26, 370, 371, 372, 373, 404, 405, 406, 407, 409, 420 and 426.

SWHOA has received the following notice from OpenBand:

Dear OpenBand Customer,

Per previous Notices, Satellite Provider Intelsat lost communication with the Galaxy 15 (G15) satellite on April 5, 2010, and the rogue satellite continues to drift eastward.

There is a possibility that the failed satellite may cause interference to the cable networks operating on Galaxy 13, another satellite near Galaxy 15’s path. There is potential for interference on the Galaxy 13 satellite from roughly July 8 through July 17, 2010.
